On the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 16, 2017 No. PF-4958 “On Measures to Improve the System of Postgraduate Education”, as well as the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 22, 2017 No. 304 “On Measures for Further Improvement of the System of Postgraduate Education”, and the Decisions of the Board of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education No. 5/1 and No. 8/2, the activities of postgraduate education institutes have been established at the university. Currently, the university offers base doctoral studies (PhD) in 28 fields and doctoral studies (DSc) in 7 fields.
Special attention is given at the university to the training of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in priority areas of science and technology. For this purpose, перспективе plans of faculties and departments have been developed and are being consistently implemented.
